Explore Madisonville, TN
Madisonville has plenty of tourist destinations with something for everyone including a historic downtown, vineyard, farmers market, murals, and a few venues fit for any party!
Tsali Notch Vineyard grow six varieties of the indigenous wild grapes called muscadines. They sell wines, juices, and jellies made from muscadines. The vineyard is open to the public with tours and a visit to their tasting room. They are also an event venue perfect for weddings and parties!
Benton's Smoky Mountain Country Hams preserves the traditional way of making dry cured ham and bacon. Their store is open to the public but they do not offer tours.
The Madisonville Farmers & Makers Market is open from May to October and takes place in Memorial Park in downtown Madisonville. It features various vendors selling produce and handmade decor. Check their Facebook page for the latest information on when they are open and what vendors will be there.
For all things art in Monroe County, we have to mention our friends over at MACA. Their website lists all the events and programs that both locals and tourists would be interested in!
When visiting downtown Madisonville, you can enjoy the murals as part of a trail! This is best during the Spring so you can also see all the flowers blooming. Use the maps below to navigate. Click "More Options" in the top-left corner to open the full maps.

Donna's Old Town Cafe (a local Madisonville favorite) opened in 1994 but the building is from sometime before the Civil War. History and a meal!
Built in 1897, the Monroe County Courthouse houses many local government offices. It too is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Historic Homes
These pair of historic homes can both be found in Madisonville just a two minute walk away from each other. The Stickley Mansion (on the left) was built in 1840 and is in the Greek Revival style. The Kevauver House (on the right) was built in the 1830s and was the childhood home of Estes Kefauver who served as a member of Congress from 1939 to 1963. Neither house is open to the public but can be enjoyed from the sidewalk.
